Product Description

If you are modifying a Mk7, Mk7.5, or the new Mk8 GTI, you know the goal is balance. You want speed, but you also want style. The COBB Tuning Titanium Cat-Back is the ultimate flex. We took the blueprint of our legendary stainless system and reconstructed it using Grade 4 Titanium.

Stock exhausts are heavy anchors dragging down your rear end. Stainless steel is better, but Titanium is in a league of its own. At just 20 lbs fully assembled, you are drastically reducing unsprung mass. This doesn't just help acceleration; it helps the car rotate better in corners. It’s the kind of upgrade you can actually feel from the driver's seat.

Here is the truth: a lot of titanium exhausts sound terrible. They get tinny, raspy, and thin at high RPMs. We refused to let that happen. COBB engineers spent serious time tuning the Stamped Muffler and resonator to absorb those harsh frequencies. The result? You get that crisp, metallic "crack" on DSG upshifts and a deep, throaty idle, but the cruising volume remains sophisticated. It sounds like a high-end Euro tuner car, not a straight-piped race car.

Titanium is tricky to weld. If you don't do it right, it cracks. We use a back-purging process (filling the pipe with argon gas) to ensure the welds are flawless inside and out. We also designed the layout with a 3-inch mid-pipe splitting into dual 2.5-inch runners to maximize flow for the EA888 engine. Whether you are running the factory downpipe or a high-flow unit, this system adapts perfectly.

This is the "Endgame" exhaust for the GTI. It combines the weight savings of a track part with the build quality of a show car piece. The Blued Titanium Tips with the etched COBB logo look incredible against the rear diffuser, signaling to everyone that you didn't cut corners. If you want the best materials money can buy with a sound profile that respects the neighbors, COBB Titanium is the only choice.
